Allison had a wonderful day at the Jax Zoo. We enjoyed it so much we bought a family year pass for only $65. Some of the highlights of her day included feeding two Giraffe face to face and petting their noses. She didn't like the feel of their tongues but kept laughing as she would feed them. She tried to gently place the lettuce on their noses to avoid the wiggly tongue touching her. She loved it.
She also got to run around in the Pigmy Goat Petting Zoo and meet all the goats. She thought that was really cool. She even left an icecream cone to go see the goats.
She also go to go in the enclosed free flight aviary where the Australian Lorikeets are flying around. You can get a little cup of nectar and feed them. You can see it in Greg's hand. They will fly and land on your head and hop down to your arms to drink it. Allison did NOT like this at all. Luckily we never gave her the cup so they didn't land on her. And if they landed on her dad she would cry. If they landed on me...well, that was ok. What does that mean!?!
